2009 Concord Hill               Spring  Lambs                                                                            8/8/09

Our 2009 lambs are all here.  I think the only thing I would change is the number of ewe lambs...I'd definitely want more!  I am hoping to get pictures this week!   Please contact us if you are interested in any of these lambs. Mazie x Glorfindel  4/17/09  Black Badgerface Horned Ram Lamb.  Single. This is one beautiful ram that will add interest to his lambs with the badgerface pattern, lots of milk potential in his ewe lambs, and a wonderful fleece for selling or personal use.   This ram will probably carry the moorit gene too. Lady Bug x Trinity  4/20/09  Black-Gray Horned Ram lamb. Single.  Absolutely perfect!!  Am debating the idea of using him here this fall.  I am pretty sure he's the best lamb born on this farm ever! Duchess x Thunder  4/22/09  White Horned Ram Lamb.   Excellent!  Single.  Will probably be staying here for use this fall                               Pansy x Trinity  4/22/09  Moorit-Gray Horned Ram lamb.   Twin.   Will be wethered due to a bit of a curve to his front leg. Raptor x Glorfindel  Black-Gray Horned Ram Lamb. Single. Very nice!  Should have some great milky genetics to give to his ewe lambs, a spectacular fleece, and he has leader sheep genetics in his background from Prestur, on his mother's side.   Possibly our biggest lamb this spring. Natalie Coal x Trinity     Black Horned Ewe Lamb. Single.  Very, very nice lamb.  She will probably be staying with us here on our farm. Ida Claire x Glorfindel    Moorit Horned Ewe Lamb.   Single.  Reserved. Tamar x Trinity   White Horned Ewe Lamb.  Single.  We may be keeping her here. Surprise x Glorfindel   Black Badgerface Horned Ram Lamb.  Single.  Very long legs.  He was just getting up when I got to the barn to feed so I haven't really seen him well. Sold Cinnamon x Glorfindel   Cinnamon had beautiful twins!  The ram is a horned moorit and he's just so nice!  The ewe, unfortunately, died in a freak accident several weeks after she was born.  What a heart breaker! Clairie x Caspian    Clairie has a wonderful polled black ram lamb who is really turning out nicely.  We were, as always, hoping for a ewe lamb, but he's so nice that we have managed to be pretty satisfied with what we got. (Reserved) Nadia x Caspian   Nadia had a nice set of twins.  The ram is a polled, moorit who is such a soft color that he looks like velvet.  The ewe died the same night that Cinnamon's did in a freak accident.  I've often said that we only lose lambs in really unusual ways, and once again this is the case.  I must admit that it was a huge loss to lose either of these lambs, but both in the same night is pretty hard to smile through. Lizzy x Glorfindel   Lizzy looks to be several weeks away still, but I have been surprised in the past.  She is really holding out, trying to keep me from relaxing this summer I guess. Jasmine x Trinity  Jasmine has a very nice, white, horned ram lamb.  This appears to be "the year of the ram" for us!
